This temperature sending out of a 1993 Lexus LS 400 is primarily used to send a temperature reading to the gauge cluster in the OEM LS400.
We are using this temperature sending unit in conjunction with the Canverter 1.0 & 2.0 this temperature sending unit should be wired into the THW pin on the canverter in order to properly send the correct temperature reading to the gauge cluster of the FRS. These sending units are sold individually without any wiring harness. These temperature sending units thread directly into Front coolant crossover on the 3UZ and 1UZ VVTI engines. to install this correctly, you simply remove the plug below the upper coolant temperature sensor that exists on the 3UZ 1UZ front crossover, and install this unit with Teflon tape to factory torque specs.
